Large Fragment

Large fragment locking plates and screws provide angular-stable fixation for major long bones and load-bearing regions. This group includes cancellous and cortical screws from roughly 4.0 mm upward, 5.0 mm locking screws, 6.5 mm cannulated full-threaded locking screws, and contoured plates such as acromion and acetabular designs.

Indications focus on fractures of the femur, tibia, humerus, pelvis, and complex articular surfaces, where locking-head geometry creates a fixed-angle construct that resists collapse in osteoporotic or comminuted bone. Cannulated screws support guide-wire placement, and pre-shaped plates shorten contouring.

Implants are produced in titanium and surgical stainless steel to balance strength, biocompatibility, and imaging. Procurement weighs plate profiles, thread options, and ISO 13485 and CE marking.
